NMT 24

Apparently, this is an actual street sign in Austin:

Our pick this week comes has a new album coming out next week, but I couldn't find anything for it so I'm using the song I originally found her through. I'm not sure where I heard this first, but it was probably on that Edge of Country show on GAC. It's about a dirt bag boyfriend, I'm sure some of you can relate. Not now, but in the past.

Anyway, from Ottawa, Ontario, Canada:

Kathleen Edwards - "In State":

Bonus Tracks:

I actually kind of like this song:

If you haven't gone to see Juno yet, go see it. It's PG-13, so there are no excuses. (Mormon Girl, check out who's at the beginning):

Just me

Maybe it's just because I'm a guy, but Coyote Ugly is an AWFUL movie. I wonder if this is why Piper Perabo hasn't done anything since. Well, that episode of House, but that's it. Even having Maria Bello didn't help, but then again she was an icky, fake blonde, so there you go.

Write this down...

Ahem...

(When your new girl is) 28, a month from 29, (She) is in fact NOT 30. It's (She is) not even close.

When she invites you to a wedding, that's good right?

Before we start, go see Juno. It's one of the best movies I have seen, maybe ever. Everything about it is good; the music, the writing, the acting. Just brilliant.

Ok, our pick this week, I don't know much about and by that I mean anything. Which, is ok, because we have a lot to get to today (I'm in a stinkin' ass good mood and found some good stuff), so we'll save some room. This pick comes from Miss Amanda. She's been harping on me for about three weeks to put something from them on and since, as we all know, I do everything I can to appease my girls, I went out and found this. Don't know if it's one of the good ones, but it's the only one I could find. So, if it sucks, blame her (It doesn't though).

From Long Island, NY:

Antigone Rising - Don't Look Back:

Bonus Tracks:

One of these people is a great singer-songwriter. The other is Rob Thomas.

More Amanda Vagina Rock:

And I would be remiss if I did not post Mormon Girl's new favorite song:

That Day

This is for our single viewers (or any of our not-single viewers who may sometimes wish they were). Keep your heads up. I've already mentioned how I feel about all this: this day is full or shit, designed to make people feel bad about themselves and sell candy (just like Easter). So, don't let it get you down. Non-single people are not in some special club or anything. They can rejoin the ranks of the single at any moment (I'm sort of in a weird in-between group).

So, to keep it light and fun here's something that will hopefully make you laugh and smile (and it has zero calories!):

A different version that will make Mormon Girl happy (the Ranger was a two timer?):

and on a sappier note: I love all of you. In case I haven't said it enough (and chances are I haven't), thank you. You've all provided me with love a support in many different ways whenever I needed it. It is always appreciated, if not always acknowledged.

Oh and just because I think this is funny as hell:

Hey KG....

...Right back at ya!

NMT 22

She agreed to let me make her dinner Thursday night. So either she doesn't want to be alone on Valentine's Day or she might actually like me. No matter what, that is always a hard concept for me to get used to.

Our pick this week is from England and her new album was recorded at a friends house (hence the title Tim's House) and it outsold Take That and Kaiser Chiefs in England. Showing that the main reason record labels have fought digital downloads is it makes them unnecessary.

I saw it listed on iTunes and took a listen and I liked it. Basic singer/songwriter stuff, but still good (and yes, Mormon Girl, she's brunette and hot, but don't hate. That wasn't a factor. ok, like 5%). The video is kind of interesting and the song is good too.

She has the same name as Dr. Addison from those AWFUL TV shows, but don't count that against her. Who knew? Anyways, enjoy.

From Burnham-on-Crouch, Essex, England:

Kate Walsh - Your Song:

Bonus Tracks:

Don't worry, KG: Even if work has turned into a bitch, We still love you!

Ok, but....

Things Not to Get Your Sweetie for Valentine's Day:

For Her:

12. Any gift you once bought for an ex-girlfriend. She will find out--and punish you.

Ok, fine, but what if it's something you bought for an Ex, but didn't give it to her?

And how will she find out?

Supernatural Superserious

This isn't going to wait 'til Tuesday.

Here's a link to the full version of the first single off of R.E.M.'s new album which comes out April 1.

It's called Supernatural Superserious and it's good. So listen to it and enjoy and ignore the little review. the early 20 year old who wrote it calls them an "interesting corporate band". Cause corporate is what you think when you think of a band who follows up an album like Automatic for the People with Monster, but he probably thinks Green Day were the first punk band.

Anyway, here it is.

Happy Birthday Amanda! (it was yesterday, but she loves me, so I can be a day late). Hopefully, you had a good day and that pampering foot massage.

Ok, our pick this week is actually a new release. Interesting concept. The album was released today, and I know he's a favorite of the ladies. It's a good song anyways.

Oh and this is actually how he records, he plays everything. Enjoy.

From New York, NY:

Lenny Kravitz: "I'll be Waiting" -

Bonus Tracks:

It's actually "Friend" of the Devil, ignore the typo. It's an old Mormon spiritual made famous by The Grateful Dead (you see the obvious connection of course):
