NMT 80
I get Alex and McSteamy confused.
Oh, boy. It's someone's 30th birthday today. Oh, it's the big one. That's right, it's Top 40's. Welcome, to big girl land. Good thing we stayed up until 4 am Saturday night. Won't be able to do it anymore. Happy Birthday, honey.
Our pick this week is one of my favorite video from this band. It's kind of funny and interesting because it's all done in one take, beginning to end.
A little back story about the song itself, so the video will make more sense. Story goes, the lead singer forgot his wife's birthday, which I guess is bad, especially when you factor in they'd been together since high school. So, to make amends he wrote this song for her. He played it for her and she didn't like it. Well, it ended up not making the record anyway and didn't appear officially until their Best of, a few years later. So, this song is his apology to his wife (that's her getting in to the carriage in the beginning. Short brown hair, Irish,---hot...). And it makes me laugh.
(Not the forgetting a loved one's birthday is funny, which I have never done. I may, MAY, have done other things that might warrant apologies along the way, but you know, we all have)

Oh since it's her birthday we'll play something she likes. Which, inexplicably, includes this:
She knows all the words and so do you, so don't even front:

OK, I think Richard is giving you all the wrond idea about me. These are "fun" songs. Song that you shout out in the car driving down the strip because there is nothing a bunch of high schoolers can get into.
-NOT my favorite songs and such...I do like "real" music. :)
-But I had a fabulous birthday because of a fabulous guy. Thank you babe.
AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA - I love that song even more now that I have both seen the video and gotten the backstory. I heart them.
Top 40 - I'm with you! Though - I do have to admit that I've never heard that last song. I do loooove it now, though! Happy Birthday!!!
happy belated birthday, top 40!
hannah
Thank you, Thank you! ;)
Happy Birthday!! Just be prepared, you'll now start to fall apart. Seriously, I hit 30 and all of my joints fail to work now.
I love Barbie Doll and do know the Will Smith song. SOngs I haven't heard in a really long time but instantly remember them when I hear them. They make me remember good times...yay!
Glad to hear a certain someone made sure you had a fabulous day.
PS - McSteamy is W.A.Y. cuter.
Seriously!
