NMT 89

Just a quick update; that's Boo-ya (x2. Well, x1.5 by someones math, but that's not my fault).

Our pick this week is a combo. I was filling up Hannah's new iPod and I was reminded of a bootleg she had way back when, where the singer explained that these three songs (two from their debut record and one that was a B-side), all went together as one story. I think the show was recorded in Holland, but I'm not sure. Anyway, I'm going to attempt to relay the story as it goes with each song. (This will either be cool or the lamest thing ever).

So from Seattle, WA:

The story starts with a boy's mother telling him his real father is dead and the man he thought was his father was nothing, but a... Too add to this wonderful moment, the boy looks so much like his real father, that the mother hints at wanting to, well she had that look, you know where...

Pearl Jam - "Alive":

(Dang, them some sexy forearms)

SO, now the boy is all kinds of freaked out, like he's got a bomb in his temple and it's gonna explode. He buries his 16 gauge under his clothes and (presumably) goes on an 8 state killing spree. Or some such.

"Once":

And now, after being caught and sent to rot in his jail cell, he writes one last letter....

"Footsteps":

I Miss the 90's:

That was all one big missing the 90's moment, but just to lighten the mood a little.

I know I'm gonna get a lot of @#%^ for this but never really been a fan of Pearl Jam.

Loved the Lightning Seeds back in the day. Forgot about them.

oh, kg. kg, kg, kg... i'm going to have to reconsider our friendship. and that's big because it could have been beautiful and long lasting. the kind of friendship where dreams are made, realized, and celebrated like the dawning of a new era. a new millenium. a friendship that was timeless in it's measurement and infinite in it's raw emotional purity. but now? well, now, let's just say that you are entitled to like or *gasp* not like pearl jam all you want. because you have to look at yourself in the mirror everyday and be okay with what you see. no, i get it. it's okay. shh... shh now, it's okay. be calm. be one with the universe. you are a beautiful special snowflake and as unique as everyone else...

i likes that song.

thanks for the throwback. and all the yummy goodness that is my ipod. i've said it before, but i'll say it again: you're a big can of awesome.
