NMT 88

I hit a squirrel on my way to work this morning. I feel kinda of bad about that. He did run out in front of me, so it wasn't my fault. But, in the Great Squirrel Hunt of 2009 it's: Richard 1, Bowden 0. Get some.

Our pick this week is someone I know nothing about. I just saw a small write up about her in the new Rolling Stone and figured we'd give her a try. She's a lot cuter in this video than she is in the picture from the magazine (she's got some weird, short perm thing in the photo). Anyway, she seems a little weird, but aren't we all. It said she has some guitar skills and I think you can see that on this.

So, from Tulsa, Oklahoma:

St. Vincent - "Your Lips are Red":

Bonus Tracks:

LRHG is leaving for this place next Friday. She's already stressing out about what to pack. Girls.

The Smiths - "London":

This is the band that will be opening for U2 on their tour. You know U2; the band most of will never get to see live because we can't afford the $700 tickets all the scalpers (legal or not) will ask. Not that you won't get your money's worth, but that doesn't make me $700 richer.

Muse - "Knights of Cydonia":

Umm. I think I like the music. Need to listen to them another couple of times to make sure.

YAY!! I leave a week from Friday and will be gone for two weeks and a day!!!

Seriously, girls. The idea of packing is already stressing me out, and I don't even leave until a week from Friday. Oh - and did I mention that we're also going to North Carolina for my Grandmother's Memorial AND to Delaware for Jay's coworker's wedding??

I'm jealous, jealous, jealous, too, Joy (I mean LRHG). OH the packing...I can't even imagine. I seriously can't even go away for a weekend without packing my entire closet which means 30 pairs of shoes for a 2 day trip. Good luck with that.

Take lots of pictures and I want good juicy stories...maybe an engagement story? Sorry, Jay.

Enjoy, and be safe. Find a good British boy for me and tell him you have this great gal back home in the states (across the pond).
