Watching the Olympics Saturday whilst waiting to go do Good Boyfriend duties of hanging with the family in town for her sisters graduation. Women's indoor volleyball was on, USA vs. Japan.
Lynn, where did they find that many six foot Japanese women?
Our pick this week is for the tech-geeks. Ok, there's probably just the one, but it's cool none the less. There were no cameras used to shoot this video. It was shot using "3D video acquisition systems from Geometric Informatics, and 64-element, 360-degree LIDAR from Velodyne, the band was able to create a clip that eschews traditional video recording for haunting, complex data visualizations." Whatever the hell that means. Apparently you can download the data and make a video of your own.
This band has it figured out. They've sold records without a record company and they do things like this, giving their fans a chance to participate. They released a single a few months ago and made each instrument track available so you could do your own remixes. Nine Inch Nails has done something similar and they have sites you can post your versions on.
That's punk rock. That's the attitude of separating the barrier between fan and band. Let's all participate.
Oh and the song is really good too.
So, from Abingdon, Oxfordshire, England:
Radiohead - "House of Cards":

Thank you Isaac.
I Miss the 90's:
I don't want to sell anything, buy anything, or process anything as a career. I don't want to sell anything bought or processed, or buy anything sold or processed, or process anything sold, bought, or processed, or repair anything sold, bought, or processed. You know, as a career, I don't want to do that.....

Catastrophical is now my favorite word ever.
Hannah: I would so be filing for divorce myself. KG & spiders = not so good.
Sorry you won't be making it to the beach (some beach, some where - oh sorry I got sidetracked by that country song).
Speaking of beach, I need a trip there myself.
