NMT 114

Jury duty sucks.

Our pick this week comes to us from the great, great land of the far, far away: Seattle. It's a bit of a side-project of guys from bigger bands (ok, one guy from a big band and others from ones you should know). It was a collaboration between Stone from Pearl Jam and Shawn Smith from Satchel (and like 1400 other bands. Low Fidelity All-Stars used his band Pigeonhed's song for their lone hit "Battleflag", and I'm sure you've heard his "wrapped in my memory" on a commercial somewhere. HBO used it once). Their first record was a favorite at the Poinciana duplex, a billion years ago.

This song is off their second record and I just think it's a wonderful song, which is odd since it's quite hopeful and upbeat (two things I am most certainly not).

So, from Seattle, WA:

Brad - "The Day Brings":

Bonus Tracks:

I Miss the 90's:

For those of us in the know; always the "other" Breeders song. And yes, that's Tanya Donelly on guitar. Post-Throwing Muses and right before she formed Belly.

Good tunes this week. I haven't heard of Brad but I really like this dude's voice. Thanks for introducing me to something new once again..
