Rain

Well, now that it stop raining. If you live here or used to live here or know someone who used to live here; The shore of Lake Ella is now Monroe street. The water is up to the parking lot and the street that runs around it is flooded. It's crazy. In an effort to keep sewage from backing up into people's homes, they have asked people to practice "if it's yellow, let it mellow" rule.

We all got lucky here. No damage. Jay and Amanda lost power a lot over Friday and Saturday, but that happens to them if someone in the neighborhood scratches his or her balls too hard. I lost power for about an hour Saturday, but it was ok. I opened the windows, watched it rain and cleaned off my table. Vicki, didn't lose power or even her Direct TV signal at all. So, you can tell those Comcast commercials are full of shit.

Now, we just wait for the clean up and this water to find a place to go and thank (insert religous Icon of choice here-God, Allah, Shiva, Baba, Joseph Smith, The Sun, Mola Ram, Joe Pesci, Crazy-Eyed guy at the bus station, etc) that every one is ok.

I think I may loot anyway.

Well dadgummit, send it up here!

Please fill your water jugs and drive up here and dump them in our lake, would ya? I mean we've been in the "if it's yellow, let it mellow" mode for over a year now and let's just say, it's starting to smell up here. More importantly, the plants and trees are starting to die b/c hell...we all need water to survive.

I'm tired of hearing these whiners who can't put their boats in the lake because, well...there isn't any water.

Ugh!

am glad that everyone is well if somewhat wet. shame that our fantastic weather comes at the cost of you lot having shitty weather, but the tables will be turned soon enough.

today is a breezy 65 without a cloud in the sky. cool enough to require a sweatshirt, but warm enough to wear shorts and open-toed shoes. all in all, a beautiful day. hope you're drying out down there.

Thanks for passing the rain up this way. Sheer downpour for most of the night and into the late morning today. It's fantastic as we haven't seen the stuff in so long. Sure it caused havoc on the roads but it's so worth it. Now the snooty boat owners can put their yachts on the lake and stop bitchin'. Yay!
