If you didn't see it, the season finale of House was great. Very emotional story line involving House getting into a bus accident and his best friends girlfriend being on the bus. In the end Wilson's girlfriend dies from her injuries, she was on the bus after House called Wilson's house for a ride home from the bar, so House feels guilty about her dying and all that. They wake her up from her induced coma so they can say good-bye.
Long story short the ending was very good, powerful emotional stuff. The final scene being Wilson going home and finding the note she left him saying she wouldn't be there when he got home since she went to pick up House. Again, very good and not cheeseball. So, do you think we'd get a moment to take it all in. NO. It's Fox, so hell no. Almost immediately we get a very loud, "AMERICAN IDOL FINALE. DAVID VS. DAVID IN SUCKFEST 2008! COME GET SOME!

So, our pick this week is a little weird. My Top 40, Hot 104.9, DJ Laz listening girlfriend actually mentioned she liked this song. I think it came up because I've been listening to this record again. It's fun and was different at the time. It has a bit of a danc-y techno feel to some of it, which I don't normally like or didn't at the time, but something about this record drew me in.
And yes, I know, she wore a friggin giant Swan outfit onstage, but think about the worst thing you've ever worn in public and laugh all you want, but she's has an outlet for it.

This is the video that got me thinking about doing this segment. The singer is the cute, artsy type I used to go for. (and by "go for" I mean, stare at, admire, but never, EVER talk to.) I need to get this record. I have the first one, but not this one for some reason, which is weird. I think my roommate had it, so I never got it. Whatever, you guys don't care.

Oh I'm so thankful I have cool friends that all despise AI as much as I do. That show is ridiculous and is so I don't know 7 or 8 seasons over with! Enough already!!!
LOVE, love, love this song by Bjork. Used to wear my CD out for this song, specifically.
The rest I'd say it was a total "phone in". There's always better hope for next week.
They ruined Bones with all those stupid AI commercials too. If they are going to continue with that stupid show, they are going to need to ensure that all of the contestants are male, hot, and legal. Or at the very least male and hot.
